Who We Are

Welcome to Heaven and Earth Growers site. We are a small, but growing Christian garden club with a mission to help others.

The club was organized in October 2006 and located at the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, Elmhurst, IL. Our main mission is to grow food and share our harvest with those in need. However, we also share our love for growing things. Our monthly meetings consist of speakers on various topics, planning for our community gardens, work projects, seasonal field trips and sharing gardening ideas. Our meetings are the first Saturday of the month, unless specified.

Please feel free to attend our meetings. Everyone is welcome.

Volunteer or Donate

Together, we can make a difference for those in need.

We are looking for growers who may have an abundance of produce from their summer gardens and would like to donate some of their harvest to those in need. To date, Heaven and Earth Growers, NFP has connected with the Yorkfield Pantry, the Elmhurst United Community Concern, Northern Illinois Food Bank, Humanitarian Service Project, P.A.D.S. (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) for distribution of our fresh produce harvest.

Our monthly meetings are usually the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m., subject to change due to holidays, etc. Meetings are held at the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church, 367 Spring Road. You do not have to be a member of the church to attend meetings or donate your harvest.

Please consider sharing your harvest this summer. Together, we can make a difference to those in need. If you are interested in contributing, or interested in joining the club meetings, please call 630.915.8477., or email heavenandearthgrowers@yahoo.com.

As of November, 2007, we have donated 534 pounds of fresh produce to several charities in DuPage County, IL. Thanks to all who contributed produce and helped deliver to the sites.
